POLE-MOUNTED SPEED AWARENESS DISPLAY
This solar powered, pole-mounted speed director provides a
quick and clear signal to the driver of his/her current speed. Use in school
zones, neighborhoods, and anywhere where speed limit compliance is vital. Many
configurations are available to fit your needs. Activate through a pager system
(PAS) or manually operate. Extreme speed setting allows the unit to grab the
attention of the driver by use of other visual displays when not showing their
actual speed. This solar powered unit can be moved easily to different
locations.
A speed display board allows everyone to see the radar speeds. Display boards
generate excitement and additional interest for any event or game. The display
boards with seven inch characters are visible about 350 feet away. The boards
with ten inch characters can be viewed more than 600 feet away. That's as long
as two football fields!

Modular Control Panel
Speed Guard’s sophisticated control panel is completely modular.

violator alert speed, radar sensitivity, and battery voltage are all
easily accessed directly on the control panel.
Adjustable Violation Alerts
The operator can set an alert speed by using the thumbwheel speed
input located on the interior panel. Should a driver exceed this speed
setting, Speed Guard will alert the driver of their violation by flashing
the jumbo LED digits. An optional strobe can also be triggered to strongly
warn the most flagrant violators and simulate a photoradar system.
Work / School Zone Siren Alert
An optional rear-facing strobe light and alert siren can warn nearby
pedestrians or road workers of speeding vehicles.
Operational Timer
The operational timer can be set to automatically turn the Speed Guard on
and off at specific times. The timer works like an alarm clock allowing
the Speed Guard to be coordinated with school zone or construction
operating times. This could result in a considerable cost savings compared
to sending someone out to the trailer everyday to turn it on or off
manually. The timer can also be used to conserve battery life.

Changeable Speed Limits
Digits are included with the speed limit sign to display any common
speed limit in 5 MPH increments. Changing the digits, is done by simply
attaching a different numeral.
Standard or Direction Sensing Radars Available
You can select any Stalker radar system for your SCAT trailer; including
the cost effective Stalker BASIC, the high performance Stalker ATR and
Dual, or the true direction sensing Stalker DSR radar system. The DSR
radar can be set to display only the speed of vehicles approaching the
trailer, completely eliminating any possibility of displaying the speed of
vehicles traveling away from the trailer in an opposite lane.
Two Doors Provide Easy Access to Storage
There is plenty of room inside the trailer to use as storage for
cones, tools, or equipment. A side door provides convenient and direct
access to storage.
Long Operational Time
Comes standard with 3 deep cell batteries, able to power the system
for up to 5 days of continuous operation. A 6 battery configuration is
also available. Charging the batteries is as simple as plugging the
trailer into a 110 volt AC outlet.

Battery Backup Systems for LED Traffic Signs Increase the public safety
and reduced traffic congestion by allowing traffic lights to function even
during a power failure. A typical traffic signal
intersection experiences eight to ten local power outages annually.
With IQUPS battery backup power, some or all the traffic control signals
can continue to operate. This seamless switchover to battery power increases
public safety and eliminates the need to dispatch police or other service
personnel to direct traffic. If all traffic signals were converted to LEDs,
the battery backup system would allow full operation of the traffic signals
during a power outage, thus alleviating traffic congestion.
Important feature is the battery backup system’s ability to maintain the
memory of the traffic signal controller. The controller is responsible for
sequencing the on and off times of the various signals. With a battery
backup system, the controller’s memory can be maintained and return to
